2 of my favourite feet-in-straps moves to mobilise the hips and spine 💫

✨ Leg Circles — a beautiful way to increase hip mobility while maintaining pelvic stability. Focus on control through the full range and keeping the centre engaged so the movement truly comes from the hip joint, not the lower back.

✨ Short Spine — one of my favourites for spinal articulation. Work through the movement with precision: lift with the abdominals, articulate the spine one vertebra at a time, and use the springs to support rather than fling you over. With version 2, we really focus on opening up the lower back and hips — and it just feels delightful.

These two classics are brilliant for reconnecting with movement quality and control — a reminder that mobility and strength always go hand in hand.

Our reformer crew have been working so hard on their unilateral class plan — and absolutely smashing our Russian splits finisher! The progress from everyone each week blows me away. Thank you for trusting me with your movement and your energy 💚

We’ve also welcomed some gorgeous new mums into our baby groups, had high-energy Barre and Bend sessions, and finished strong with Kara’s Mat Pilates, bringing that beautiful focus and control back to the body.

But Bambu isn’t just about the classes. It’s about community.
When you step into the studio, you’re not just another face — you’re part of something warm, supportive, and real. You’ll be welcomed, listened to, and hopefully leave a little lighter than when you came in.

Whether it’s sharing a laugh, a little vent, or even a tear — we’re here for all of it. 💛

This week marks Baby Loss Awareness Week — a time to remember the precious little ones who are no longer with us, and to raise awareness for all those who have experienced pregnancy or baby loss.

As a studio, we’ve always vowed to be a safe haven for mums, and we want to remind you that this extends to all mums — including those whose babies are held in their hearts rather than their arms. 💕

To honour this week, we’ll have a Remembrance Tree in the studio where you can hang a ribbon — whether to remember a loved one or simply to show your support and raise awareness. 🌸

There will also be opportunities to donate to charities that provide incredible support to families through such difficult times.

Joseph Pilates once said, “Above all, learn to breathe correctly.” So many of his exercises revolve around helping us do just that — and The Hundred is a perfect example.

Yes, this classic move has a lot going on (my regulars will know what I mean 😅), but at its core, it’s about the breath. We aim for 10 rounds: inhale for 5, exhale for 5 — and that’s where the name comes from.

In some classes, your Hundred might simply mean lying on the mat, tuning into your breath. In others, you might explore the full version — that beautiful levitation where mind and body connect (and your abs definitely feel it 🔥).

What a truly lovely day at the Teddy Bears’ Picnic with @babybunnies_ 🧸☀️💛
The sun was shining, the picnic blanket was piled high with treats, and everywhere you looked there were tiny teddies, big teddies, and happy faces. We spent the afternoon sharing snacks, playing games and soaking up the sweetest atmosphere.

Something I dreamt of when opening the studio was creating a safe, welcoming space for mums to move their bodies—without the pressure to look picture-perfect and without the stress of finding childcare.

And honestly, our classes have become so much more than I ever imagined.

Some of our mums joined us when their babies were just 6 weeks old… and now those little ones are nearly 6 months! 💛 It’s been such a joy to watch your babies grow (and share in those giggles and cuddles), but even more inspiring is seeing the strength you hold—both physically and mentally.

Friendships have flourished, confidence has grown, and we’re just so proud and grateful for every mum who’s been part of this journey. Whether you’re now back at work or still attending weekly, thank you.

✨ We currently have a few Pay-as-you-go spaces for Baby & Me Reformer over the next two Mondays.

✨ My Favourite Prone Lying Exercises After a Long Day Sitting ✨
Whether you’ve been at a desk or behind the wheel, these are a great way to counterbalance hours of sitting and reset your spine 👇

1️⃣ W Press
Lie with arms in a “W” shape, elbows resting on the mat. Gently lift the upper chest by lengthening through the back of the neck—think movement coming from between the shoulder blades. Want a variation? Lower the head and try lifting the arms off the floor, keeping that W shape strong and steady for a deep upper back burn 🔥

2️⃣ Prone Press Up
Extend the W press by lifting your ribs away from the mat. Think long spine, not high lift.

3️⃣ Unilateral Swan & Twist
One arm stretched forward, the other under the shoulder. Lift and twist by dragging the stretched arm and pressing down through the bent one. Look over the back shoulder 🌀

4️⃣ One Leg Kick
Fists under forehead. Pull yourself along the mat, lift ribs, and alternate leg bends. As you kick, press hips down and try to hover the thighs—can you keep your knees off the mat?

5️⃣ Double Leg Kick
Hands behind the back, head to one side. 2 quick kicks, then extend and reach fingers to toes. Lower and switch head sides.

6️⃣ Swan + Rest
Hands under shoulders, press up to lift the chest. Elbows point back as you lower with control. Sit back into rest position to finish 🧘‍♀️
